Just when the world thought Hailey Bieber and Selena Gomez had waved the white flag, the pair became embroiled in another internet feud.
The former Disney Channel star and the supermodel wife of Justin Bieber have long been pitted against each other, having both been romantically involved with the “Boyfriend” singer.
Gomez dated Justin on and off for almost a decade, however, he popped the question to Hailey in 2018 just a few months after splitting from the “Only Murders in the Building” star for good.
The model eventually set the record straight, declaring it was “all love” between the pair during her September 2022 “Call Her Daddy” interview and two months later, the duo went on to pose for a photo together.
However, new developments on social media involving Hailey’s close pal Kylie Jenner, Gomez’s laminated eyebrows and resurfaced shady videos, have sparked speculation that they may be back at odds.

In January 2023, Hailey posted a video with her fellow supermodel pals Kendall Jenner and Justine Skye.
The clip featured trending audio, which the trio mouthed: “I’m not saying she deserved it, but God’s timing is always right.”
Gomez’s fans theorized that the video’s message was aimed at the “Round & Round” singer, who had been body shamed by trolls earlier that the week.
Hailey eventually deleted the video after the commentary became so widespread, noting that she “never comments on this type of thing,” but clarified that the since-deleted post was “a random TikTok sound for fun. It’s not directed at anyone.”
In February 2023, Gomez commented on a fan’s reaction video of the incident, writing “It’s OK! I don’t let these things get me down! Be nice to everyone!”

In February 2023, Gomez took to TikTok to share a video of her bushy brows, telling her fans, “I accidentally laminated my eyebrows too much.”
Shortly thereafter, Kylie shared a photo of her own eyebrows on her Instagram Story, writing, “this was an accident?”
If this wasn’t enough of a coincidence, the Kylie Cosmetics mogul then posted a screenshot of a FaceTime call with Hailey, which showed a close-up of both of their eyebrows.
Social media users flooded their comment sections on TikTok, labeling the besties “mean girls” and calling the behavior “childish.”
Kylie swiftly denied throwing shade at Gomez when she took to the comments section of a viral video posted by a fan.
“This is reaching,” she wrote. “No shade towards Selena ever, and I didn’t see her eyebrow posts! u guys are making something out of nothing. this is silly.”
Gomez also chimed in, “Agreed @kyliejenner. It’s all unnecessary. I’m a fan of Kylie.”

The “Monte Carlo” actress defended her pal Taylor Swift in February 2023 when a clip resurfaced on TikTok appearing to show Hailey throwing shade at the “All Too Well” chart-topper.
In the clip, which was shared by TikToker @duckcopycat0, Hailey was shown co-hosting “Drop the Mic” alongside Method Man, who referenced Swift’s 2017 album, “Reputation.”
“[Celebrities will perform] a one-on-one rap battle full of the meanest lyrics about a celebrity since Taylor Swift’s last album,” the rapper said in the video.
The Rhode Skin founder then made a gagging motion and shrugged her shoulders after hearing the “Cardigan” singer’s name.
“THISS is real Hailey ‘Bieber’ mean girl // matona [Spanish for ‘bully’] / A Bully,” the creator wrote atop of the viral video, adding snake emojis in the caption.
Once Gomez caught wind of the resurfaced footage, she came to her bestie’s defense, writing, “So sorry, my best friend is and continues to be one of the best in the game.”

Shortly after Gomez surpassed Kylie as the most-followed woman on Instagram in February 2023, she announced that she was taking a short break from social media.
“I’m very happy, I’m so blessed. I have the best friends and the best fans in the whole world and I just couldn’t be happier,” Gomez said in a TikTok live, while Kylie and Hailey were reportedly rapidly losing followers.
“I’m good, I love the way I am, I don’t care,” the “Spring Breakers” actress went on.
“And yeah, I’m gonna be taking a second from social media ’cause this is a little silly and I’m 30. I’m too old for this.”

Although it doesn’t seem either party has thrown any new shade, Gomez’s super fans have continued adding fuel to the fire by digging up old information.
One resurfaced clip posted in February 2023 showed Gomez telling an interviewer she wishes people “knew her heart,” before cutting to a video of Hailey echoing the same sentiment during an interview with Jimmy Fallon.
Fans also pointed out similarities between Gomez’s 2020 cooking show, “Selena + Chef,” and Hailey’s “What’s In My Kitchen?” series on YouTube, which dropped in late 2022.
Another popular theory centered around a similar tattoo that both women have.
Gomez got a cursive “G” tattooed behind her ear, which she explained in 2015 to be a tribute to her little sister Gracie. That same year, Hailey debuted some similar ink behind her ear, however, the meaning behind her tattoo remains unknown.
