Lionel Messi ‘has been offered £350m-a-YEAR by Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal’… but could turn down the mega-money offer as he ‘prioritises remaining in Europe’

Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal want to bring superstar forward Lionel Messi to the club in the summer in a deal that could see the Argentinian earn £350million-per-year.

Al Hilal have supposedly submitted their proposal to Messi and his team of representatives as they attempt to lure him to Saudi Arabia in the summer.

The mind-blowing contract would see Messi eclipse the current yearly salary of £177m that Cristiano Ronaldo is paid by fellow Saudi outfit Al-Nassr, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Should Messi decide to accept the outrageous offer then it would be the first time since 2018 that the pair have featured in the same league after Ronaldo left Real Madrid for Juventus.

Messi could be set for the biggest payday of his career if he leaves PSG at the end of the season once his contract at the Parisian giants reaches its conclusion.

However, the 35-year-old is also wanted by other clubs, namely former side Barcelona who are considering a magical return to the Nou Camp for Messi.

Messi however could reportedly reject the huge offer from the Middle Eastern outfit amid interest from more competitive teams playing in Europe’s top leagues.

His apparent priority is to continue his career in Europe after winning the World Cup with Argentina in Qatar at the end of last year but isn’t rushing a decision on his future.

Current club PSG are keen to try and keep Messi at the club in the summer, however there are reports that the winger is preparing to leave the French champions at the end of the season.

Their renewed bid to keep him has apparently been rejected as the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner wants guarantees on PSG’s sporting direction.

Barcelona have supposedly not yet opened talks with their former iconic goal-scorer and are waiting to find out whether they are able to bring in new players after allegations they broke Financial Fair Play rules.

If given the green light to proceed then they could attempt to wrap up Messi’s return quickly to ward off interest from other high-profile teams.

Messi left his childhood club in 2015 after spending 21 years and winning 35 trophies during his time at Barcelona.
