Iron Man’s Hulked-out armor proved to be stronger than pretty much all of his previous suits in an epic fight between Stark’s tech.
After Iron Man’s armors were unleashed in a fight against the out-of-control hero, Tony Stark upgraded his Endo-Sym armor by going full “Hulk” and transforming it into a massive version of his previously worn suits. In Superior Iron-Man #9 from Marvel Comics, Pepper Potts sends his creations at Stark to stop him as he becomes more corrupted by evil. However, Iron Man’s old armors are no match for his mighty Hulk-like armor’s powers, as he quickly decimates them.
After a magical spell corrupted Tony Stark’s mind, the hero started slipping into villainy, as he lost the trust of Pepper Potts after trying to infect the masses with the Extremis Virus. To stop Iron Man and his new Endo-Sym armor, Potts uploaded a copy of Stark’s mind into an empty suit, as the new version of the hero led a battle against his actual self. However, after seeing his old suits attack him, Iron Man upgraded the powers of his liquid ensemble. He grew bigger, Hulking-out by turning his armor into a massive, nearly unstoppable piece of tech.
In Superior Iron Man #9 by Tom Taylor, Yildray Cinar, Guru-eFX, and VC’s Clayton Cowles from Marvel Comics, Tony Stark goes full Hulk, transforming his Endo-Sym armor into a massive suit-killing machine. As his old armors fight to take him down, Iron Man pummels them, telling them since he created the “inferior” suits, he can also destroy them. However, while the suits do their best to take down Stark, no matter how much firepower they throw his way, Iron Man’s upgraded Endo-Sym armor and its powers prove too much for them.
Tony Stark is only stopped in the fight after learning about the A.I. version of himself built a suit for Pepper Potts. Enraged, he crushes his opponent before Potts uses her armor’s powers to wipe the liquid suit off Tony’s body. While Stark would eventually regain control of his Endo-Sym armor, it took all of his old suits and Pepper Potts to take him down the first time. Nevertheless, the Hulked-out armor was one of Iron Man’s strongest suits to date, as it made his old ones look very weak in comparison.
In this case, bigger was better, as Stark used his transformed Endo-Sym armor to fight his old suits and take them out. The massive armor showed what his symbiote technology was capable of, as its huge form and powers ended up dwarfing his older suits while quickly dispatching them when they collectively tried to stop him. Ultimately, Iron Man’s Hulked-out armor proved to be stronger than all of his previous suits at that point, making it one of his most dangerous but impressive creations yet.
