The subject of Carlo Ancelotti’s future at Real Madrid is currently very popular. Los Blancos are currently 12 points behind Barcelona in the race for the La Liga championship as a result of their loss in the El Clasico prior to the international break.
The Italian previously stated that he would retire after leaving Real Madrid. Ancelotti now seems to be reconsidering his position after speaking at his pre-game press conference ahead of Sunday’s game against Real Valladolid.
“No (I don’t plan to retire). Let’s see.”
Ancelotti could take over at Brazil if he decides to leave Real Madrid this summer. He has been heavily associated with the open position in recent weeks. He acknowledged that he was drawn to the ᴘʀᴏsᴘᴇᴄᴛ of playing the part.
“I am very excited that Brazil wants me, but I have to respect the contract with Real Madrid, which I want to fulfil.
“If the President of the CBF wants to talk to me, I would love to meet him.”
Ancelotti’s comments will undoubtedly lead to more ʀᴜᴍᴏʀs about his future at Real Madrid. His entire attention will be on making sure the defending European champions have a successful season’s end, though.
Florentino Perez “identifies next Real Madrid manager” should Carlo Ancelotti leave this summer
With Barcelona now leading La Liga by 12 points and Los Blancos having lost in El Clasico just before the international loss, Carlo Ancelotti’s future as Real Madrid’s head coach is currently unconcerned.
Ancelotti might decide to leave Real Madrid on his own since he is expected to become the next manager of the Brazil national team. When he addressed the media on Saturday, the Italian fueled ʀᴜᴍᴏʀs about this potential.
According to TyC Sports (via MD), Florentino Perez, the president of Real Madrid, already has Mauricio Pochettino in mind as a replacement should Ancelotti depart this summer.
Pochettino has been jobless since leaving Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the previous season, but if Real Madrid makes the move this summer, his time without a job may be coming to an end.
If Ancelotti leaves, Real Madrid will likely receive a large number of applications for the head coaching position, but for the time being, the pitch will take precedence.
Real Madrid planning to offer new contract to midfielder at the end of the season
Given that seven Real Madrid players have contracts that expire at the end of the current season, the months between now and July will be very important for their futures.
Real Madrid’s management has begun planning for contract extensions, but a few players may leave the team in the summer when their current contracts expire. There are concerns about Dani Ceballos’ future, and Mariano Diaz is almost certainly going to be one of them.
According to El Debate, Real Madrid will present Ceballos with a new contract at the end of the current campaign. The 26-year-old is ʀᴜᴍᴏʀᴇᴅ to have asked for a promise of a more prominent role in the first team, which would allow for more appearances, rather than a pay raise.
Ceballos, who spent the first half of the season on the periphery of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad, has grown into a key member of the group in recent months, and he recently made a comeback to the Spain setup under Luis de la Fuente.
But it’s unclear whether Real Madrid will be able to keep that promise given that Jude Bellingham is expected to leave in the summer and that Toni Kroos and Luka Modric may receive extensions.
