Two of the Premier League’s top five best-paid footballers play for Manchester United, according to a list published by L’Equipe this week.
Goalkeeper David de Gea is said to be earning £402,250 per week at Old Trafford. Meanwhile, winger Jadon Sancho’s weekly wage is reported as £373,750.
Liverpool forward Mo Salah is also listed as being on £373,750 per week.
But top of the Premier League’s rich list on £425,000 per week is Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne.
Erling Haaland is joint-second with a weekly wage of £402,250.
However, that figure does not include all of Haaland’s performance-related bonuses.
It is likely that Haaland will actually take home more than De Bruyne this season because he receives a bonus every time he scores a goal.
Haaland has scored 42 goals in his first 37 games for City in all competitions.
