Kevin Durant is hard at work currently, hoping to return to the Phoenix Suns after a freak injury during a shootaround has seen him miss weeks.
Naturally, KD is staying active on social media during his time off as well. That’s where he saw Charles Barkley call him sensitive. This set KD off, given this is the latest in a string of harsh comments that Barkley has been making against KD.
This ain’t gettin tiring chuck? I’ll never respect the words that come out ya mouth fam just deal with it https://t.co/ZGGCIs62El

Barkley said this in an interview, the clip of which was shared with KD given he responded to the tweet with the video clip.
“He’s very sensitive. Great player. He’s part of that generation who thinks he can’t be criticized. He’s never looked in the mirror and said, ‘Man, is that a fair criticism?'”

Durant has been called a sensitive player for the entirety of his career. When analysts and writers say it, it is easy for KD to brush it off. A Hall of Famer and former MVP like Charles Barkley saying it has to cut a little deeper.
KD could just keep ignoring this like LeBron James ignores Skip Bayless, but Barkley is a far more respected figure in the world of sports than Bayless. No matter how many times he says it, KD is affected by Barkley’s criticism and clearly doesn’t enjoy it.
Kevin Durant Needs To Prove Everyone Wrong On The Court
Kevin Durant can’t win any more battles on Twitter with his critics. Winning tends to shut most people up and if he can add a third title to his resume with the Suns, all the criticism becomes pointless. The Warriors’ titles are criticized by many for their superteam nature, but the Suns have acquired KD through an expensive trade, giving it a more organic team-building nature.
Durant has fought against the ‘bus rider’ analogies thrown at him by Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal. KD also criticized Barkley for wanting to switch teams multiple times in his career and then attacking KD for doing the same. All of that criticism has to stop if he becomes a 3-time champion, so he’ll definitely set out to achieve that.
