Manchester United fans spotted what appeared to be a vape in a picture Alejandro Garnacho shared on Instagram while the Red Devils dumped Fulham out of the FA Cup.

Garnacho shared a snap of a TV screen while he was watching the 3-1 FA Cup quarter-final victory from home. However, some fans noted what looked like the smoking device on the sofa where the Argentine youngster was watching the clash.

The 18-year-old swiftly deleted the Instagram story before re-uploading the snap with the same caption – “Let’s go guys!” – however, the second snap had object cropped out.

One fan commented: “Has Garnacho just uploaded this story again and photoshopped the vape out of it?”

Garnacho wasn’t part of the United squad on Sunday afternoon following a knock he picked up during the Red Devils’ 0-0 draw with Southampton. The Argentine was spotted leaving Cibo Restaurant on crutches after a late family lunch.

He was on the end of a heavy tackle from Kyle Walker-Peters, and speaking ahead of their Real Betis clash, Erik ten Hag said: “I can’t say exactly at this moment, but it will take weeks.

“So it’s a serious injury, didn’t expect, but a foul. A serious injury. Once again after Christian Eriksen, we have a serious injury after contact.

“It’s not a good decision and it’s difficult to make a diagnosis that quickly but I saw him limping and that’s why I took him off also because it was my last opportunity to sub him and to bring on as well.

“He will be back before the end of the season. We need to get him back as soon as possible and we hope he is ready.”
