The final regular-season match between the Golden State Warriors and the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday night featured a lot of trash-talking.
With the Grizzlies chirping as they were up 133-117 in the closing stages, Klay Thompson reminded them that he and the Warriors have four rings.

This isn’t the first time this season, that Klay has flashed his ring count. He told Devin Booker that he has four rings when the two of them were involved in a heated altercation last year when the Warriors took on the Phoenix Suns. Thompson’s rings do give him bragging rights over most of his opponents, but that’s not going to help them win games.
The Warriors would lose 133-119 here and it was their 11th straight road loss. Two of those have come against the Grizzlies and this rivalry just keeps heating up after every game they play.
Klay Thompson Had A Rough Shooting Night
Klay had a lot of reasons to be frustrated after this one. He was confident that the Warriors would solve their issues away from home during this five-game road trip, but they have started 0-3. He also struggled massively in the game, as he scored just 14 points on 6-17 shooting from the field and went 2-9 from beyond the arc.
Klay has really struggled on the road this season, as he is averaging just 18.6 PPG on 41.5% shooting from the field. It is one of the reasons why the team has struggled on their travels and Thompson needs to play better if they are to get some wins under their belt.
It is almost guaranteed now that the Warriors won’t finish in the top 4 in the Western Conference, which means they will have to win at least one road game in every series they play in. This team has given no reason for one to believe they can win a road game in a playoff series, let alone win one in four of them to win a title. Still, the Warriors being the Warriors means you can’t completely write them off just yet.
