Jamie Redknapp insists that Bukayo Saka is ‘irreplaceable’ and that the winger has been a ‘revelation’ for Arsenal this season, ahead of their London derby against Fulham.
The 21-year-old has appeared in all of the Gunners’ Premier League games so far this season, returning an impressive 10 goals and nine assists to help lift Mikel Arteta‘s side to the top of the league standings.
Ahead of their trip to Craven Cottage later, Redknapp reflected on the England star’s season so far.
‘He’s irreplaceable,’ Redknapp said in reference to Saka. ‘There is nobody who can do what he can do. Brilliant match up today.
‘[Antonee] Robinson will want to run him the other way [in the game today]. I think this is a really good match up. Bukayo has been a revelation this season.’

Saka starts today in Arsenal’s game against Fulham following their draw with Sporting Lisbon
Saka has been in superb form for the Gunners this season, scoring 10 goals in 26 league games
His comments were echoed by Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, who called Saka his player of the season and believes Saka is only continuing to improve.
‘Bukayo for me is player of the season,’ the former Chelsea striker said. ‘He has done so well.
‘He’s been getting better and better and taking responsibility, popping up in important moments. Nothing fazes him, and for me, player of the season.’
Arsenal went on to beat Fulham 3-0 thanks to goals from Gabriel Magalhaes, Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Odegaard to restore their five-point lead at the top of the table.
Arteta had to make some difficult selection decisions before the match, bringing Leandro Trossard into the starting XI despite him missing Thursday night’s Europa League match with an injury.
Redknapp and Hasselbaink also praised Arsenal’s new forward Leandro Trossard too
Trossard repaid his faith by setting up all three goals, and Redknapp was full of praise for the Belgian international.
‘They invested so much in trying to get Mudryk,’ Redknapp said. ‘But right now the priority is to win the league.
‘I think Trossard is a great signing, he is ready made. He can play wide areas, up front. He gives you goals. They haven’t got that out and out scorer, he adds to the quality. Has ice in his veins in front of goal.’
Hasselbaink concurred: ‘He [Trossard] is very flexible, he’s very direct as well. He can play through the middle, he’s maturing and getting goals.’
