Erik ten Hag has branded Man Utd’s second half performance in the 7-0 defeat to Liverpool as ‘unprofessional’.
The Red Devils went into half-time just 1-0 down and right in the game against their arch rivals, however a complete capitulation in the second half saw Man Utd concede a further six goals.
Speaking about that horrid second half showing to beIN Sports, Ten Hag was admitted that his players lost their heads and were unprofessional: “The second half was unprofessional. It can’t happen and we have to talk about it.
“It was about the whole team, I saw 11 individuals losing their heads. That is not Manchester United, we have higher standards.
“I think we played a decent first half. One mistake in organisation just before half-time. Second half it was just not us. It was not our standards. We didn’t play as a team.”
Manchester United will be keen to bounce back from their damaging defeat to Liverpool when they face off against La Liga side Real Betis in the Europa League on Thursday evening. The Red Devils will then return to Premier League action against relegation-threatened Southampton next Sunday at Old Trafford.
