Marcus Rashford is the best player in the Premier League and is in the conversation to be the best in the world alongside Kylian Mbappe.
This is the view of talkSPORT’s Darren Ambrose, who hailed the Manchester United forward who is in red-hot form.
Rashford is in irresistible form with 15 goals in his last 16 matches for Man United
Rashford added another two goals to his impressive tally for the season as Man United saw off Leicester 3-0 at Old Trafford.
He now has 24 goals this term (14 of them in the Premier League), which is the biggest haul in a season he’s achieved in his career.
The 25-year-old has been in lightning form since the campaign resumed after the World Cup, netting 15 goals in 16 appearances.
And Ambrose believes there’s currently no better player in the top flight than Rashford. The former Crystal Palace star also suggested the England star is in the same league as Paris Saint-Germain and France superstar Mbappe.
Ambrose also praised Man United boss Erik ten Hag for getting his player back on form with last season seeing Rashford score just five goals in all competitions.
“He’s the best player in the Premier League as we speak, probably by a distance,” Ambrose said on The Boot Room.
Ambrose suggested Rashford is in the same league as Mbappe
“On current form he’s unstoppable, he’s unplayable. Whatever superlative you want to use about Marcus Rashford, he’s sensational at the minute. That goal record since the World Cup is just frightening.
“In terms of best player in the world he’s in the conversation, he’s in with a shout.
“Mbappe is of course the best player in the world, he’s phenomenal, but just to be in the conversation after the year he had last year, to come back as strongly as he did… Erik ten Hag deserves a lot of praise for that as well.
“Some of the players just need the right coach, they [Man United] seem to have the right coach.”
