Erik ten Hag is hopeful that two of Anthony Martial, Antony and Scott McTominay, will be available for the match against Leicester City on Sunday.
Ten Hag will make a final decision on Saturday
The Dutchman’s squad has been stretched due to injuries and suspensions in recent weeks the trio among those to have been sidelined.
Antony was ruled with a leg injury ahead of the clash with Leeds United at Old Trafford last week with Martial struggling with a hip problem having only just returned after a seven game absence off the bench against Nottingham Forest earlier this month.
McTominay meanwhile has an unspecified knock having not featured since the 3-2 defeat to Arsenal on 22 January.
United face a pivotal seven days beginning Sunday at home to the Foxes before their Europa League play-off second leg clash against Barcelona on Thursday following last night’s thrilling 2-2 draw at the Camp Nou.
The Carabao Cup final against Newcastle United follows three days later with ten Hag explaining last week he was confident Martial, Antony and McTominay would be available for the trip to Wembley.
Speaking ahead of this weekend’s test, the United boss offered a further update on the trio, telling reporters: ‘Maybe [they will be available].

‘We have to wait until tomorrow. Maybe one or two players can return, yeah.’
United were without Lisandro Martinez and January signing Marcel Sabitzer for Thursday’s draw with Barcelona with the duo available on Sunday and for the return fixture next week.
With Casemiro to sit out on Sunday against Leicester in the final game of his three-match ban, ten Hag will have options at his disposal.
‘You don’t want to miss them in the squad, in Barcelona. They are important players for our team,’ ten Hag said.
‘They are back in the squad, which is good. That will strengthen the squad, so we will have a good team on Sunday.’
