Before this year’s trade deadline, the Phoenix Suns pulled off an unexpected blockbuster deal to acquire Kevin Durant. Without a question, this is a game-changing decision for the squad that could aid in their winning a title.
In the recent episode of the Fadeaway World Podcast, we discussed the Kevin Durant move to the Phoenix Suns. We debated about whether the Suns will ever regret making this deal, but it seems as though the belief is that this was a no-brainer move for them. (7:11)
Lee Tran: Do you think they’ll ever really regret this deal, or was it a no-brainer?
Divij Kulkarni: I think the fact that Kevin Durant is tied into his contract for quite a while… no team would regret making a deal like this… For the next three years to have Devin Booker and Kevin Durant they’re going to be one of the top teams is the West… their window is again open. I don’t think there’ll be any regrets from the Phoenix Suns.
It remains to be seen how well the Phoenix Suns do in the future. They definitely have the talent to get far, and perhaps we’ll see them make the Finals and win the team’s first championship in the future.
