Given that they have already traded Kyrie Irving to the Dallas Mavericks, it appeared as though the Brooklyn Nets were prepared to blow everything up. Kevin Durant appears to be the final domino to fall in this chain of events.
It was recently reported that Kevin Durant got traded to the Phoenix Suns for a package that featured Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, and multiple first-round picks. A lot of fans reacted to the news, with many of them being hyped over this move.

That’s tough
THEY DID THIS AND KEPT CP3 AND AYTON
MY GOD WHAT
KD JOINING THE WEST AGAIN
They kept AYTON wtf????
Lol. It’s over for the league then.
WILD WILD WEST!
They were asking us for Jaylen Brown then went on to take Bridges along with BBQ chips, this is some bull they didn’t even take Ayton
Nets fans went from Kyrie, Harden, and KD to Ben Simmons in the span of a season and a half lmao
There is no doubt that a lot of fans were shocked at how relatively small the package was for Kevin Durant to get traded. Deandre Ayton was featured in a large number of Kevin Durant trade rumors during the past summer, but somehow the Phoenix Suns managed to retain his services as he was not included in the trade.
The Phoenix Suns Could Win The Championship
On paper, the Phoenix Suns are clearly contenders. Kevin Durant with Chris Paul, Devin Booker, and Deandre Ayton is a very good core, and they still have some decent role players as well. It’ll be interesting to see how well they do for the rest of the season, but it is clear that they have the talent to win it all.
The Phoenix Suns will of course have to do their due diligence and build chemistry ahead of the playoffs. They are seemingly the favorites to come out of the Western Conference right now but of course, we’ll have to wait to see how they end up performing on the court.
