The world champion made a decision on whether to participate in the next continental tournament.

After achieving the historic achievement with the Argentine national team, there were doubts about Ángel Di María’s continuity in the Albiceleste. Prior to the World Cup he had notified his teammates that he would say goodbye regardless of the result and now he announced the crucial decision about his future with the current world champion.

Di María played a new final with Argentina and history continued in his favor.
