According to the management company YG Entertainment, the dance video for Blackpink’s song “Shut Down” surpassed 100 million views on YouTube on the morning of January 23.
Blackpink has achieved this achievement after 126 days, since the video’s release on September 19, 2022. This is the 39th video and also the 15th dance video of the group to surpass 100 million views.
“Shut Down” is a hip-hop song that takes samples from the Italian composer Paganini’s “La Campanella”, combining the original track’s violin solo with a powerful beat.
Currently, Blackpink is conducting the largest world tour among K-pop girl group tours with about 1.5 million spectators.
