Dwayne Johnson has done several movies in his entire career. Furthermore, the professional actor has also won awards for the same. While his acting career has now skyrocketed, he was just waiting for his first big break over a decade ago. Nonetheless, he turned out to be as good an actor as he is a wrestler. Not only that, but the internet is filled with stories from his fellow co-stars. They have all revealed how great it is working with The Rock.
Amidst all of this, another actor recently opened up about the same. This time, it was the popular Brendan Fraser from ‘The Mummy.’ He starred on an episode of The Drew Barrymore Show in November 2022. Subsequently, he revealed a range of details about what it was like working with Dwayne Johnson. Furthermore, he also stated that The Rock had helped him with his acting on the sets of The Mummy Returns.
Dwayne Johnson was a piece of tape on a stick
During The Drew Barrymore Show, Brendan Fraser revealed something shocking. He stated that he had never actually met Dwayne Johnson. This was surprising since both the stars were working on the same project! This also got similar shocked reactions from fans. When asked why, Fraser revealed that he had to do something rather different on the sets.
“If I had to act to a tennis ball I would fail miserably,” suggested Fraser. Basically, acting to a tennis ball comprises not having any human contact. Furthermore, the actor is supposed to practice by himself in a dark room. This is essentially done to master the dialogues during that time.
Hence, Fraser suggested that he happens to be rather good at the same.
“I happen to be really good at it. You know why? Because in The Mummy Returns, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson was just a piece of tape on a stick,” he stated.
Well, it now makes sense why the two co-stars met directly after the film was over.
As of now, fans are eagerly awaiting to view The Rock back at WWE. The famous wrestler is rumored to be part of The Royal Rumble that is to be held towards the end of January. It will also see other famous wrestlers such as Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes.
